Cotentin Surf Club

Cotentin Surf Club was founded in 2000 in Cherbourg by a small group of enthusiasts, and is now based in Siouville-Hague at the north-western tip of the Cotentin, near the Channel Islands and Cap de la Hague. It describes itself as the largest surf club in Normandy, runs with volunteers and paid staff, and its website carries a 2026 copyright and October 2026 news (French championship, Cotentin Surf Sisters event).

The club offers introductory sessions, training, competitions, sporting and social events, adapted surfing, beach cleanups, and judge and federal instructor training. Lessons and courses take place in the Cotentin, in France and in Portugal, and the site has pages on lessons, prices and rentals.

Instructors hold state diplomas. The club is affiliated with the French surfing federation and approved by Jeunesse et Sports.
