West Surf Association (WSA)

The West Surf & Wild Skate Association (WSA) is a board-sports association in Guidel-Plages, promoting 35 years of community-based riding. It is based at the Sémaphore, 6 route de l'Atlantique, facing the spots of the Guidel coast.

The surf section offers beginner and advanced courses from age 8 and for adults, stand up paddle, surfboard and wetsuit rental, and a year-round improvement centre up to competition level. The Jardin des vagues welcomes ages 5-7 (2 hours of surfing a day for 5 days).

The skate section includes the Minikidz course (ages 5-7, 1 hour a day for 5 days) and the Wildskaters course (1.5 hours a day for 5 days, for independent skaters), with a year-round improvement centre. Gift vouchers are available. According to tourist offices, courses are scheduled in 2026, in summer and during the autumn holidays; the association has around 200 boards, changing rooms, showers and a clubhouse.
