PréparAction Surf Académie Saint-Jean-de-Monts

PréparAction Surf Académie is an itinerant surf school offering lessons in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, as well as Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, at the best spot of the day. Sessions are led by Titouan Pajot, a native of Saint-Jean-de-Monts presented as a SUP surf world champion.

Lessons are in small groups of up to 8 people, all levels. At Saint-Jean-de-Monts, the website describes a sandy-bottom beach break, with a more sheltered area near the pier suited to children (gentle waves) as well as intermediate adults.

Lessons are scheduled around the tides, mostly at high tide, with ideal conditions around 1 to 1.5 m of swell and little wind. Booking is done online from the academy's page; the activity is announced all year round.
