Pacasmayo Waves is a small business run by local surfers in Pacasmayo, on Peru's north coast, based inside the Los Faroles hotel. It says it was the first to offer on-water support to the town's surfers: photos and video from 2001, a boat service in 2005, transfers in 2010, board rentals in 2015, and a water sports school opened in 2020.
The school teaches surfing, stand-up paddle, kitesurfing and tow foil (boat-towed foiling). Every lesson includes the instructor and full equipment. Kitesurf lessons are followed from a private boat, with walkie-talkies.
The Zodiac boat also tows surfers out to the takeoff point, avoiding Pacasmayo's strong current, and rescues kitesurfers when the wind blows offshore. The team also offers photo and video, car or van transfers, and organises kite downwinds along the coast and all-inclusive surf camps.
