Tropikal Kitesurf Center is a kitesurf, kitefoil and wing foil school in El Cuyo, a fishing village on the Yucatán coast known for its long wild beaches and steady wind. It sits at the far end of the village, on a quiet spot, inside the LunArena hotel.
The school gives kitesurf lessons for all ages and levels, as well as kitefoil and wing foil lessons. The instructors, several of them from El Cuyo, adapt each lesson to the student's pace. The equipment, from North and Mystic, is renewed every season; the school also rents kites, wings, boards and harnesses to independent riders, and has a shop.
Students can use the showers, toilets, pool, wifi, a washing and storage area for their own gear, and the hotel's restaurant and bar. The partner hotels LunArena and Dos Mares give school clients a discount.
