Bocas Surf Academy

Bocas Surf Academy is a high-performance surf school based on Isla Colón in Bocas del Toro, on Panama's Caribbean side. It was founded by local pro surfer Joshua Caraballo, who comes from a surfing family: his father is one of the best shapers in Panama, and both his father and brother have held national titles.

The school focuses on progression: each session includes a 45-minute theory class, 1.5 to 2 hours of surfing, video correction and private boat transport to the break, with any board needed. It also offers boat-based surf guiding with a professional local surfer, and 4-, 6- or 8-night camps with accommodation, meals, daily lessons and mobility or yoga sessions.
