School Presentation
USurf Batukaras is a surf school led by Ucup, a local longboard surfer, in Batukaras (Pangandaran regency, West Java), a spot known for its long, mellow lefts.
Lessons run from first waves (paddling, pop-up, safety, reading the ocean, lineup etiquette) to intermediate longboard coaching: wave selection, positioning, trimming, cross-stepping and noseriding. Teaching is one-to-one, with the coach in the water for the whole session, and board rental is available.
The team are locals who grew up on this break and know the tides and the best moments to catch waves. The website also offers a free surf guide and directions for getting to Batukaras.
