School Presentation
Surfing with Sarah is a mobile surf school in Gisborne, on the North Island's east coast. It took over from Surfing with Frank: Frank has retired from running the business but is still on the beach and in the water sharing his experience.
Lessons suit every level from beginner to expert, with a maximum of four students per coach. The school moves around according to conditions and ability levels, using Waikanae, Midway, Wainui and Makorori beaches; the most common meeting point is Oneroa Carpark, between Roberts Road and Waikanae Beach. Board and wetsuit are provided, and pick-up and drop-off can be arranged.
The programme includes private and group lessons, a kids' club, school groups, surf guiding and surf travel. Equipment (soft tops, epoxy longboards, minimals, shortboards, wetsuits) can also be rented without a lesson, at any time.

Private lesson (2-4 surfers): NZD 90 each; group lesson (2-4 surfers): NZD 79 each; 3-lesson pack: NZD 195. Board and wetsuit hire: NZD 35 for 3 hours, NZD 50 for a full day; board only: NZD 25 for 3 hours, NZD 40 for a full day (prices shown on the website, year not stated).
