Lembongan Surf Lesson

Lembongan Surf Lesson is a surf school based at Jungutbatu on the island of Nusa Lembongan. Its instructors, Komo, Cakil and Penol, have surfed here all their lives and know the swell, tides and conditions at the island's four breaks: Playgrounds, Lacerations, Razors and Shipwrecks. They are backed by the Lembongan Surf Team, and Cakil is a certified ASI (Academy of Surfing Instructors) instructor.

The school teaches children and adults, from first-timers to experienced surfers. Lessons last about two hours and include equipment, an instructor, showers and free pick-up and drop-off. The beginner lesson covers board position, paddling, take-off, wave choice, safety and spot knowledge. The intermediate lesson works on wave selection, manoeuvres and speed. Multi-day packages, surf boat trips and snorkelling trips complete the offer.

Boards and rash vests are available in every size, and the school also rents soft and hard boards from 5'0 to 9'0.
