Baruna Surf Culture is a small, family-owned Balinese company offering surf lessons and coaching around Canggu, with a meeting point in Kedungu near Tanah Lot temple. It caters to beginners as well as intermediate and advanced surfers, and takes its students to quieter spots than those in central Canggu.
Coaching is limited to two students per instructor and up to two hours in the water per session. Every second session is filmed and analysed on video. The package includes theory, a board and a long-sleeve rashguard; pick-up by car is optional.
Two formats are offered: Happy Beginner for learning from scratch, and Joyride, technical coaching to progress. A surf stay (Seaside Tribe, in Kedungu) serves as the base for longer visits.
