Windrider is Ukraine's first kite club, which has grown into a network of schools. The Serhiivka base (also referred to as Zatoka or Karolino-Buhaz), about 60 km from Odesa, sits on a sand spit in the middle of the resort between the Shabolat and Budaki estuaries. The school has operated there since 2016.
The water is shallow, which makes the first steps in kitesurfing easier. Lessons follow the Windrider standard and end with a school certificate; the equipment used is Slingshot and Ozone.
Formats offered: trial lesson, 6, 9 and 12-hour packages (the full course takes about six days of individual sessions), an extra session after the course, hourly lessons, freestyle, hydrofoil and wing foil. An online booking form is available on the website.
