Surf Wala

Surf Wala is the oldest surf school in Goa: a group of international surfers opened it in Arambol in 2011 to promote surfing in the region. It describes itself as the international surf club of Goa.

Two lesson batches run every morning, with no more than four students per instructor. You can also book a private lesson (the best option for non-swimmers), a single lesson to try surfing, a multi-day course, or a lesson for children aged five to fifteen. Boards and equipment can be rented on site.

The place also has rooms in a guest house set in a palm grove a few steps from the water, plus a cafe-bar with a pool table that hosts regular events. According to the website, the surf season runs from September to May, with beginner-friendly waves almost every day.
