My Surf Camp Peru

My Surf Camp Peru is a surf and stand-up paddle school based in Punta Hermosa, south of Lima, which also teaches in Miraflores, Trujillo and Chicama. It presents itself as a member of the Peruvian association of surf schools and instructors, the Peruvian surf federation and the international federation.

Instructors are bilingual local surfers (Spanish and English), trained in first aid, holding the Peruvian instructor qualification (Fentta) and an international ISA qualification. Each lesson includes board and wetsuit rental, some theory (currents, conditions, etiquette), a warm-up and then time in the water with the instructor.

The school also sells one-week beginner surf camps (transfer from Lima or Trujillo airport, private room, three meals a day, one 1.5-hour lesson daily) and organises surf trips across Peru, from Lima to Chicama and up to Máncora.
