Bali Kitesurfing School is a kitesurfing school in Sanur which, according to its website, is owned and run by local Balinese kiters. It was founded by Kadek, head instructor, with Komang, one of Indonesia's top kitesurfers, as co-founder and instructor.
Lessons mostly take place at Kite Beach on Mertasari beach in Sanur, and the school moves around to follow the wind and tide. All equipment is included (kite, board, harness, impact vest and helmet) and the instructor follows the student by boat. The website mentions three rescue boats and a teaching method based on the IKF/FKI system, using foil and inflatable kites.
The school also rents equipment, under supervision and only to kiters who can show their level: full set, kite only, board only or board with hydrofoil, by the hour. Foil and kite-surf boards are made in Bali.
