School Presentation
San Juan Surf Resort is a beachfront hotel at Urbiztondo in San Juan, La Union, in northern Luzon, home to one of the oldest surf schools in the Philippines. The resort was founded in 1992 by Australian Brian Landrigan and now has 43 rooms a few steps from the beach, with a restaurant and bar.
The surf school was founded in 2003 by Fil-Australian pro surfer Luke Landrigan, who is an ISA level 2 surf coach, holds the Bronze Medallion lifesaving award from Surf Life Saving Australia and is an ISA level 3 judge. The school promotes an internationally accredited training programme and runs outreach sessions for children with special needs in La Union.
It offers lessons with an instructor and guided sessions for advanced surfers, and rents surfboards, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, bodyboards and skimboards. A resort shop sells beach and surf essentials.
