Charlie's Surf School
26 Victoria Street (Steve's Place), 5276 Robe · South Australia · Australia
School Presentation
Charlie's Surf School is the local surf school in Robe, a small seaside town on the south coast of South Australia. Charlie grew up in Robe and worked at surf camps in France, Portugal and Fiji; he has been teaching since 2009, coaching in the water himself and handling every booking personally.
In summer, lessons run every day, in groups (up to four time slots a day, depending on demand) or privately. The school recommends at least three sessions to build the technique, safety and confidence needed. Equipment is provided: wetsuit, rash vest, surfboard, sunscreen and wax. It also offers Secret Spot Adventures, guided trips to Robe's hidden beaches for more advanced surfers, and welcomes school and large groups of 8 to 80 people.
Bookings can also be made at the Steve's Place surf shop on Robe's main street.
