Escuela Nacional de Kitesurf Uruguay (ENKU) - Solís Chico

The Escuela Nacional de Kitesurf Uruguay (ENKU) is a network of kitesurfing schools run as franchises. This listing is the Solís Chico franchise, in Parque del Plata, Canelones department, on the Río de la Plata coast.

Lessons are personalised and given by instructors trained by the school. The basic course is 8 hours, extendable at no extra cost if the student needs a few more hours to ride independently. It starts with about 40 minutes of theory (safety, spot conditions, wind behaviour, right-of-way rules, communication signals) and then moves to practice: rigging, launching and controlling a small kite, relaunching, body drag, then first attempts at standing on the board.

Video support material is available on the website, and an accreditation card is given at the end of the course. Lessons are paid before starting and scheduled according to the wind forecast; promotions are available for two or more students.
