School Presentation

Streaky Bay Surf School is a surf and stand up paddle school on the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. It is a Surfing Australia accredited school whose lessons are given by qualified instructors (contact: Hayley).

Surf lessons are mostly held at Surfers Beach, about a 15-minute drive from Streaky Bay off Sceale Bay Road: a long white-sand beach with consistent waves, well suited to beginners. A session lasts two hours, including an hour and a half in the water, with a maximum of eight students per coach. Soft surfboard, full-length wetsuit and accessories are provided, and the coach stays in the water with the group. The school welcomes all ages, from private lessons to school groups, and also offers ocean awareness courses and team-building days.

It also runs stand up paddle tours and lessons, depending on wind and tide, at Streaky Bay, Sceale Bay or in the sheltered waters of Bairds Bay. The school closes during the cooler months.
