Coastrider Surf Academy

Coastrider Surf Academy is a surf school at Clifton Beach, about forty minutes from Hobart in Tasmania. It describes itself as the number one choice for learning to surf in Tasmania and was named Surf School of the Year at the Surfing Australia awards (2023, presented in 2024).

It specialises in beginner to intermediate surfers, with step-up sessions for the next level. Offers include group lessons, lesson packages, private lessons (one to three students), the NRMA Surfgroms program for ages 5 to 12, school programs, and programs on the north-west coast and in southern Tasmania. Coaches are in the water with students.

The school also hires out surf and stand-up paddle gear.
