Fly High Kiteboarding is a kitesurf school on Koh Phangan that teaches where the wind is: October to mid-January on the north side of the island, mid-January to April at Ban Tai in south-easterly winds, June to September around Thong Sala in south-westerlies. The teaching spot changes with wind and tide.
The syllabus covers wind theory, kite set-up and safety, piloting, launching and landing, body dragging, waterstarts, riding and self-rescue. Instructors (Dawid, Yordi and Pavlo) are IKO certified, and the gear included in lessons is Core, Cabrinha and Flysurfer.
Students receive an online IKO licence that lets them carry on elsewhere.
