Bazil's is a hostel and surf school in the centre of Westport on the South Island's West Coast, just behind the i-SITE. It presents itself as an accredited surf school and offers lessons to hostel guests and the public alike.
The surf lesson includes a board, a wetsuit and transport to the beach and back. Small and large groups are welcome. Boards and wetsuits can also be hired by the day. The hostel also runs stand up paddle tours on the Kawatiri Lagoon and hires out kayaks and bikes.
It also offers a Surf Retreat Yoga Week: five nights in a shared dorm, one surf lesson, in-water coaching, five yoga sessions, unlimited gear hire and breakfast.
