Kitesurf Ometepe is a kitesurf and wingfoil school on San Fernando beach, on Ometepe island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua. You ride on warm freshwater between the twin volcanoes Concepción and Maderas, with steady 15 to 25 knot winds from November to May, side-on or onshore, which makes the lake a safe place to learn.
Run by owners Olga and Jeremie, the school calls itself the only official F-ONE Pro School in Nicaragua. Instructors are IKO certified and teach in English, French, Dutch, German and Spanish. Private and duo lessons follow the IKO progression, with 3, 6, 9 and 12 hour packages for students who want to go further.
Wingfoil lessons are offered too, the only ones on the island. Independent riders can rent 2025-26 F-ONE gear: kites from 6 to 15 m, twin-tips and surfboards, wings and foils.
