West Coast Wind Sports

West Coast Wind Sports is a locally owned business in Squamish, British Columbia, offering kiteboarding, wing foiling and parawing lessons along with equipment from leading brands. Instruction is given by Canadian national champions.

The First Flight lesson is designed for newcomers to wing foiling: a land-based part covering basics and theory, then time on the water. A one-on-one lesson follows to help riders get on foil consistently, ride upwind and master jibing and tacking. Advanced lessons are tailored to each student, from first turns to freestyle tricks.

The school also runs upwind drops: a boat ride upwind for about 4.5 km of downwind riding. These sessions are unsupervised, and riders must make their own way back to Sp'akw'us Feather Park, the windsports beach.
