Blue Adventures is a watersports school run since 2011 by Tony and Nina beside the Omaha Estuary on the Matakana Coast, about an hour's drive north of Auckland.
The school focuses on wing foiling, from first lesson to riding the foil, with small groups and a certified instructor team. Its website also mentions wakeboarding and stand-up paddling lessons. Beginners start on a large board without the foil before moving on to the foil board.
The estuary's calm, clear, shallow water suits beginners as well as riders working on their technique. Wing foil gear is also sold, and the on-site shop, Omaha Surf & Supply, stocks wetsuits, boards, wings and beach essentials.
