Out The Back is a surf school on the West Coast of the South Island, in Greymouth. It runs beginner group lessons, with a maximum of four students per instructor, and two-hour private lessons for one or two people. Times follow the tides: the school generally aims for lower tide.
It also organises private guided surf trips across the South Island, to remote and uncrowded waves, with surf camps announced as coming soon. Bookings are made online.
The school hires boards and wetsuits by the hour or by the day.
