Kisi Kitesurf School is a kitesurf school in Cozumel. Beginner lessons are private, in English, Spanish and French, covering theory, kite control, body drag and waterstart.
Two spots are used for learning: the flat, shallow lagoon of Isla de la Pasión, reached by a track through the mangrove and then by boat, which works in all winds, and the large flat beach of Punta Norte near the Meliá hotel, ideal in north-east wind and easier to reach. These spots also suit intermediate and advanced riders, and the island has several wave spots on its east side.
The school rents Harlem and Duotone equipment renewed every two years (twin-tips, surfboards, foil), with optional supervision or coaching. It also offers a package with accommodation, boat trips combining downwind kiting and snorkelling, and second-hand gear: lessons are free with any equipment purchase at the school.
