West Side Baja Surf School

West Side Baja Surf School is a family-run surf school on Los Cerritos beach, on the Pacific side, less than an hour's drive between Cabo San Lucas and La Paz. It was founded by Heli "Tacho" Campos-Palomera, originally from Colima, who began surfing at 13 and has been teaching almost as long.

The school gives one-hour beginner lessons, coaching sessions with an advanced surfer for intermediate and advanced levels, full-day guided surf trips to the breaks of southern Baja, and day-long board rentals including a rash guard or wetsuit.

It works with local programmes on waste management and ocean awareness. It is open every day from 8 am until sunset.
