Awa Salu Kiteboarding Curaçao

Awa Salu Kiteboarding is a kitesurf school that has operated since 2017 at the St. Joris Bay spot in Curaçao. The school, which describes itself as a pioneer of kiting on the island, teaches with its own method refined across more than fifteen kitespots.

Lessons are given privately or in pairs, in Dutch, English, Spanish and Papiamentu. They range from a two-hour discovery to three-day and five-day courses leading to independent riding. The water offers both shallow and deeper areas to progress.

The school rents gear to experienced kiters, sells new and pre-owned equipment and handles repairs, working with local partner Stitchworx for specialist kite repairs.

By appointment, every day 9 am to 6 pm.
