Kite Buen Hombre

Kite Buen Hombre is a kitesurfing centre founded in 2013 on Buen Hombre beach in Monte Cristi province, in the north-west of the Dominican Republic. The water is wide, flat and shallow, which suits beginners well. The centre also has a base in Cabarete.

It is an IKO Pro Center and holds a licence from the Dominican Ministry of Tourism. It offers beginner kitesurfing lessons, coaching to progress, and wing foil, foil and parawing lessons. It also runs camps, downwinders and boat trips.

The centre rents gear, runs a shop and demo centre, and houses guests at the Buen Hombre hotel or a boutique hotel in Cabarete. Transport, meals, yoga and massages are available as extras. Brands: Core, Ventum, Crazyfly, Duotone and ION.

The best wind windows run from November to April and from mid-June to mid-September.
