Vela Watersports Center is a windsurfing, wing foil and paddle centre on Cabarete beach, along the main road. Its site lists lessons, rentals, gear storage, sales and accommodation.
Windsurf lessons range from group or private beginner sessions to advanced coaching. Wing foiling is taught in one-hour private lessons or three-hour courses, with or without several days of rental. The centre also teaches paddleboard wave lessons.
You can rent a board, foil or wing separately, as well as windsurf gear or a paddleboard, and leave your kit in storage on the beach. A helmet and impact vest come with wing foil rentals and foil lessons.
