Suroît Aventures

Suroît Aventures is a wind sports and outdoor centre on L'Isle-aux-Coudres, in Charlevoix, in the heart of the St. Lawrence wind corridor. Founded in summer 2015 by Yann Normand and Cath Dufour, two kiters with pro-tour backgrounds, it started as a pure kitesurf school before becoming a recreation centre focused on the river.

Kitesurf lessons, solo or in pairs, run in three-hour blocks in shallow water, knee or waist deep. Rideable winds are south-west and north-east. All equipment is supplied (wetsuit, water shoes, life jacket, helmet); students must be able to swim and be at least 9. A complete course takes 9 to 12 hours on average. Instructors also coach riders who want to move on to freestyle, wave riding or hydrofoil.

The company also offers paddleboard excursions, yoga, snowkite in winter and group activities, with an online shop. Booking by phone, with confirmation 24 hours ahead based on the wind forecast.
