Aérosport les Îles

Aérosport les Îles has taught wind sports in the Magdalen Islands since 1998. It describes itself as the first kitesurf school in Canada and the only one owned by islanders. It is based in L'Étang-du-Nord, on chemin de Lavernière.

Lessons take place on a private teaching site in shallow water, with jet-ski assistance and headset communication. The programme covers kitesurfing (private lessons, groups of two or three to four students, supervised sessions, foil, freestyle and surf), wing (wing SUP to start, then wing foil), kite buggy, kayak and stand-up paddle. Equipment, including wetsuits, booties and harnesses, is provided.

The shop sells kitesurf, wing, surf, foil, SUP and kayak gear, wetsuits, clothing and local crafts, and offers repairs (surfboards, kites and wings, bars and lines). The school is a member of Aventure Écotourisme Québec and also offers travel packages and equipment rental.
