The Kigamboni Sailing and Kitesurfing Centre is a water sports base in Kigamboni, across from Dar es Salaam, that combines a sailing school and a kitesurfing school. It also runs a social project that introduces children and young people in Tanzania to sailing.
The kite school is run by a BKSA-qualified instructor. It offers private lessons or lessons for two or three students, a three-lesson basic course and a five-lesson intensive course, all with full equipment included, plus downwind trips from the islands back to the base.
Rental gear is North Kiteboarding, with beach assistants for setup, launching and landing. The beach is wide and uncrowded, with mostly side-onshore wind of 10 to 22 knots.
