Akomba Kite Center

Akomba Kite Center is a kitesurfing school based in Ampangorina on the island of Nosy Komba, off Nosy Be in north-west Madagascar. It presents itself as the first kite school in the Nosy Be area.

Kitesurf lessons are taught by IKO-certified instructors, one-to-one, on brand new equipment with constant radio contact and a safety boat that follows the student on the water. The school also offers wing foil and e-foil lessons and gear rental (wing foil, paddle, spearfishing). If the wind does not allow it, kite lessons are refunded.

Besides kiting, Akomba Kite runs excursions to the neighbouring islands: cetacean watching, snorkelling with turtles and, in season, whale sharks, plus family hikes. For accommodation the centre works with Makis' Vallée, a jungle retreat 15 minutes from the main kite spot.
