Mr Brights Surf School

Mr Brights Surf School is a surf school, surf shop and organiser of camps and tours based at Big Milly's Backyard on Kokrobite beach, west of Accra. It was founded by Brett "Mr Brights" Davies, a surfer from Newquay who worked for Rip Curl before settling in Ghana.

Beginner lessons (safety, ocean awareness, board handling, paddling, pop-up, first waves) are given in groups or privately, from one session to ten. The school also offers advanced lessons, video coaching and several packages: a weekend, a surf camp and a surf tour along the Ghanaian coast.

The surf shop rents a wide choice of boards, from foam learner boards to longboards, mini-mals, small-wave boards and an inflatable paddle board. The school is also involved in developing local surfing in Ghana.
