Salty's Kitesurf Village

Salty's Kitesurf Village is a kitesurf centre on Bofa Beach in Kilifi, on the coast north of Mombasa. It follows IKO standards and teaches all levels: a 7-hour beginner course, a 3-hour refresher, private or two-student lessons, and supervised rentals to rebuild confidence.

Independent riders can rent recent F-One gear, and beach assistants help launch and land kites. The village also offers accommodation, a beach bar and restaurant, with equipment storage and cleaning.

There are two main seasons: Kaskazi from December to March (13-18 knots) and Kuzi from May to October (17-31 knots). November and April bring lighter winds of 8-13 knots, suited to foiling.
