WaterGate Surf School Hel
Mała Plaża (przy Fokarium), 84-150 Hel · Pomorskie · Poland
School Presentation
WaterGate Surf School is a small kitesurfing and windsurfing school on the Mała Plaża (the small beach) in Hel, near the seal sanctuary, at the tip of the peninsula. Founded in 2018 by instructor Kamil Baranowski, it is licensed by the Polish kiteboarding association (PZKite) and covers students with accident insurance. It stresses small groups and a relaxed spirit, in contrast to schools that sell lessons by the hour.
From May to August the team teaches on the Hel Peninsula, at Hel and Jastarnia, where a shallow lagoon stretches several kilometres into the bay; in autumn it moves to Sardinia. Kitesurfing lessons, private or for two, are given with helmet, radio and buoyancy vest; the school also offers windsurfing and wingfoil lessons and a progress course.
It rents kitesurf gear (kite, board) and windsurf gear (training boards from 150 to 230 litres, sails from 1 to 5.7 m²), after a check of the customer's level.
