Salty Jackal Surf School

Salty Jackal is the surf school and surf camp of Swakopmund, the Namibian town set between the Atlantic and the Namib dunes. It describes itself as the only surf camp in the country and hosts guests in a surf house, with a private villa for groups and retreats.

The school teaches beginners and intermediate surfers on the empty beaches of the Skeleton Coast, picked each day according to conditions and the group's level. Instructors hold ISA Level 1 and first-aid training; gear and transport from the school, or a meeting at the beach, are included.

Besides group, private and very small-group lessons, Salty Jackal offers surf guiding, strike missions to the Skeleton Bay wave for experienced surfers, special retreats and activities around the region, from craft beer tasting to desert stargazing.
