School Presentation
Dave's Waves is a mobile windsurf and wing foil school on the Isle of Man. It gives private one-to-one lessons on the island's beaches and bays, mainly Derbyhaven, Castletown, Gansey, Port Erin, Port St Mary and Ramsey, depending on tide, wind strength and wind direction.
In windsurfing, the beginner course runs over four lessons (stance, steering, tacking, sailing upwind and downwind, gybing); the intermediate level covers beachstarts, waterstarts, planing, harness and footstraps, fast tacking and carve gybes. The school also teaches wing foiling in three stages (Wing-tro, Wing-go, Wing-pro) and windfoiling for experienced windsurfers, on request.
The website includes a shop for windsurf equipment, reserved for Isle of Man customers. The 2026 beginner season runs from 1 April to 3 November.
