Aber Adventures

AberAdventures is a surf and stand up paddleboard school on the mid Wales coast, based in Borth in the middle of Cardigan Bay, under the Cambrian mountains. Founded in 2009 by Graeme and Simon, two local surfers who had previously run surf schools in Tywyn and Abersoch, it stresses a green ethos: sustainable suppliers, kayaks made from recycled plastic.

Surf lessons (beginner, improver, intermediate and advanced, private or group, online coaching) run at Borth and Ynyslas; paddleboard lessons run at Borth and on the lake Llyn Pendam, with guided coastal tours as well. Board, winter wetsuit and boots are provided. The school also runs clubs (weekend surf club, after-school lessons, university clubs), days for groups, schools, stag and hen parties, hire of surfboards, bodyboards, paddleboards and kayaks, and a shop of accessories and wetsuits.
