Galloway Activity Centre

Galloway Activity Centre is an outdoor activity centre on the shore of Loch Ken at Parton, about ten miles north of Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It offers sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, powerboating, mountain biking, climbing, archery and laser tag, with on-site accommodation and a waterfront cafe.

Windsurfing takes place in a sheltered bay of the loch, exposed to south-westerly winds: taster sessions on stable beginner boards, two-day RYA courses for adults and youths, and up to five-week instructor training. All instructors hold at least the RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor qualification and a current water-based first aid certificate. The centre also hires boards and rigs to experienced windsurfers and runs sail foiling courses.
