Azure Watersports

Azure Watersports is a family business in Aberdeen, founded in 2021 by Nick and Estelle Goodchild, which describes itself as Scotland's first dedicated wingfoil school. It teaches wingsurfing and wingfoiling in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, with instructors qualified through the RYA, BKSA and Water Skills Academy.

Lessons include a wingsurf taster, a wingsurf improver, an introduction to wingfoiling, sustained-flight wingfoiling and a Zero to Hero package (a block of lessons from first wingsurf to foiling, with supervised rental). Lessons, one-to-one or group, take place at Peterhead (marina and harbour); wingfoil lessons are always one-to-one and taught from a rescue boat that follows the student. Foil lessons require the wingsurf improver lesson or an ability assessment.

Azure Watersports also sells equipment: wingfoil wings, boards and foils, foil assist, downwind, tow and pump foil, kitesurfing, paddleboards, wetsuits and accessories, new and used, from F-one, Axis, Airush, AK Durable, SIC, Armstrong, Flysurfer and Manera, and can demonstrate gear.
