Blast Watersports Dublin

Blast Watersports Dublin is a windsurfing and wing foiling school run by Ant Byrne, who reports more than twenty years of teaching on the water. It is a mobile operation: lessons take place on the Malahide Estuary, north of Dublin, from three launch sites chosen according to the wind.

For windsurfing, the school offers a beginner course (from age 9) of four three-hour lessons, small-group improver sessions for those who have mastered the basics, and one-to-one coaching. All equipment is supplied, including 5 mm wetsuits for hire. Improver sessions only run when the wind is good enough and at least three people have signed up.

For wing foiling there is a beginner course of six three-hour lessons, with equipment provided. Blast also runs an online shop (Duotone wings, boots, boards) and a second-hand page.

Sessions every day during daylight, depending on the wind. Reachable by phone or WhatsApp, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 19:00.
