Surfing at Bouz'

Surfing at Bouz' is run by Mehdi Assiry, a surfer and coach from Bouznika, the seaside town halfway between Casablanca and Rabat. He states more than ten years riding Morocco's Atlantic coast and over five hundred students taught. Lessons are delivered with Association Bouznika SurfSchool, whose instructors are described as certified, without the certifying body being named.

The business has four strands: surf lessons, from a first session to an experienced surfer refining technique; guiding to the neighbouring breaks, with tides and conditions explained; board repair, from a small ding to serious damage; and a small accessory store — board racks, wetsuit bags — ordered over WhatsApp and collected in Bouznika.

It also hosts guests in an oceanfront villa with direct beach access: a terrace facing both sunrise and sunset, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, hot showers after a session, a workspace and WiFi. Stay packages include the nights, the coached sessions, all equipment, transport to the spots and an ocean safety briefing. Kitesurfing is not taught: Bouznika is where Casablanca's kiters go for wind, but nobody gives kite lessons there.
