SurfLewis & Harris

SurfLewis & Harris is a surf school based in Sandwick near Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides. It teaches surfing, stand up paddleboarding and snorkelling and hires out equipment, at various beaches across Lewis and Harris.

Surf lessons last 2.5 hours, in the morning, afternoon or evening, with all equipment included. Most take place at Traigh Mhor (Lewis) and Nisabost (Harris), elsewhere when conditions require. The beginner course follows the "ABC" method approved by the Academy of Surf Instructors; the instructor is an ASI Approved Level 1 Surf Coach and an SLSGB Beach Lifeguard.

The school welcomes individuals, families, groups of up to 16 (including stag and hen parties), schools and children from age 8, and also offers one-to-one coaching.
