School Presentation
Surf Bornholm is a windsurfing and kitesurfing school on Balka beach, on Bornholm's east coast near Nexø. It is run by Bjarke, an instructor on this beach for about thirty years, who says he certified 8,000 windsurf students in 2024.
In windsurfing, a one-day intro lesson (back and forth and first turns) leads to the two-day beginner course, after which you can sail on your own; an international certificate can be issued at the end. In kitesurfing, the two-day beginner course (manoeuvres, water start, safety) is preceded by a one-day intro without a board. Rental covers windsurf gear (sails from 1.5 to 7.8 m², beginner and pro), paddle boards and kites.
The business also offers guided snorkelling trips by inflatable boat, a seal safari to Christiansø and licence-free boat rental.
