Antik Surf Club

Antik Surf Club is a surf school and club in the medina of Asilah, a small fishing town on Morocco's Atlantic coast 45 km south of Tangier. The club faces its own beach: every morning the team checks the waves right in front of it and, if another spot is working better that day, everyone piles into the van — swell, wind and tides are watched daily rather than sticking to the same beach.

The club teaches all levels in two-hour sessions that combine theory, water time and individual corrections, and also offers private lessons and a water photography service. Its rental quiver is a carefully built one, stocked with independent shapers — Peta Surfboards, Longwinter, Adrokultura, Gato Heroi, Tom Morat — plus a wide range of 8'8 softboards for beginners; wetsuits and accessories come with the rental. That taste for handmade work produced a short film, ATLANTIK, shot in Asilah with the shapers who came to share sessions there.

Antik also runs small-group surf trips, based at the Antik Riad, a traditional house 100 metres from the club, and offers two places of its own to stay in Asilah: Riad Fadua (four bedrooms and three bathrooms over two floors) and a one-bedroom apartment designed for couples.

The club publishes no opening hours on its website. The hours shown on its TripAdvisor listing are: open Monday, then Thursday to Sunday, 10 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm; closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The surf trips published for 2026 fall in September, October and December.
