Bantham Surfing Academy

Bantham Surfing Academy is a mobile surf school in South Devon. It is no longer based on Bantham Beach: each day it picks the best spot in Bigbury Bay, mostly Sedgewell Cove, which gives access to several waves (Sedgewell, the edge of the River Avon, the Burgh Island causeway and Bantham). Sessions also take place at Hope Cove, North Sands, Thurlestone and Mothercombe depending on conditions.

Lessons are taught by qualified International Surfing Association (ISA) instructors: beginner and improver lessons, kids lessons, private lessons, bodyboarding, a kids surf club and offers for companies and schools. The school also offers stand up paddleboarding (private lessons and guided tours), kayak groups, and hire of surfboards, paddleboards and kayaks.
