School Presentation
Mellby Kite och Wing is an IKO center teaching kitesurfing and wingfoil along Sweden's west coast. Its IKO-certified instructors have between 10 and more than 20 years of experience in kiteboarding, windsurfing and wave riding.
Courses are usually held at Mellbystrand, which offers shallow water and a wide beach, but the team moves with the wind between Ängelholm and Båstad in the south and Halmstad and Falkenberg in the north. School equipment is included. Courses are open from age 12, with a 10% discount for under-20s, and end with an IKO certification.
The range runs from a two-hour taster to one- and two-day IKO courses and private refresher or advanced lessons. The center also rents a surf house in Mellbystrand, 400 m from the nearest kite spot.
