Dexters Surf Shop

Dexters Surf Shop is a Surfing England accredited surf school and shop that has stood for around fifteen years on the beachfront at North Bay, Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Open all year, it is the only surf shop in Scarborough located directly on the beach.

The school teaches surf (beginner and improver), paddleboard, bodyboard and kayak lessons for all ages and abilities, with walk-in adaptive surfing. It also runs watersports clubs (Little Tuna's ages 5-8, Big Tuna's ages 8-16, adults, Surf Sisters), camps, and kayak and SUP tours.

Hire is available all year: wetsuits, surfboards, longboards, bodyboards, paddleboards and kayaks, including overnight. The shop sells new and used surfboards, accessories and clothing; after refurbishments in 2025 and 2026 it has private changing rooms, toilets and free lockers.

Open all year; the shop answers the phone from 9am to 5pm.
